Description

Della Casa Appa (1889-?). During the mid to late 1920's Della Casa Appa would sell her work to C.G. Wallace reluctantly and only in the evening hours. She was concerned that a woman making jewelry would not be accepted by other members of the pueblo. According to C.G. Wallace, Della was the first woman to produce jewelry in Zuni.

This beautiful inlaid ring is set with materials of turquoise, jet, white shell and coral.
This ring offers the delicate work of Della, with a mosaic inlaid arrow in a simple hand hammered split shank with thin stamped silver plates placed on the sides for the final touch to this wonderful ring. The ring measures 7/8" long by 5/8" wide and is a size 8.
